Meet the Buyer x Ekomenu

November 19 @ 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Free

Our "Meet the Buyer" sessions are designed to connect passionate food entrepreneurs with potential customers, buyers, and/or category managers. Every month, we invite buyers from a wide range of sectors within the food industry, such as supermarkets, online retailers, hotel chains, wholesalers, and restaurant owners. These sessions offer exclusive sales opportunities, feedback, and/or professional connections that you won’t find anywhere else. In this session, we welcome Ekomenu!

About Ekomenu
Ekomenu is an organic and regenerative meal kit service that delivers throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. Every week, 35 recipes are curated to accommodate 14 different lifestyles and dietary restrictions, ranging from variety and family-friendly to keto and vegan. The recipes are created by chefs, and the organic ingredients are either delivered to customers’ homes or picked up at EkoPlaza. The chefs focus on proper nutritional value, seasonal ingredients, convenience, and, above all, taste. This allows our customers to choose a personalized menu that fits their own lifestyle.

It is important to us to work with local producers who share our passion and vision for a better food supply chain, and who enjoy working with a company that is truly committed to sustainability.

Food for Health

Ekomenu operates under the motto “Food for Health”: lifestyle menus that contribute to your health and that of the planet. In addition to meal kits, Ekomenu also offers digital services and health programs. The impact they make is significant: approximately 40% fewer CO2 emissions, a 22% lower risk of chronic disease, and benefits for biodiversity and animal welfare. Their motto is that healthy eating and sustainable eating go hand in hand—without having to be complicated.

Requirements Ekomenu—
—Ekomenu is looking for products that are preferably organic, or that require large volumes to produce an organic batch. If a brand believes it’s a great fit regardless, you can still apply. Ekomenu can sometimes find other ways to collaborate.
—Products should preferably be suitable for an evening meal, which is Ekomenu’s main focus.
– Ekomenu is currently exploring ready-to-eat or ready-to-cook products.
– Preferably local, but a company with a compelling story is also welcome.

Who will you meet during this session?
Freya Zuidervaart – Culinary Lead and Product Development
Danielle van Bemmel – Recipe Developer
Eef Peters – Intern at Ekomenu
