Expert session: Retail Insights

Success in big retail; it’s something that not only starting food businesses struggle with. Many of our members face the same questions: How do you get in touch with the right buyer? What makes a category manager say yes? How do you build and maintain a strong relationship with a retailer? And what really matters if you want to stay relevant in their assortment?
 
We’ve invited expert Annemieke Rijke. She will share her knowledge and host this interactive expert session. She has worked with nearly all major retailers in the Netherlands. Her years of experience are the foundation of the by her created Retail Insights program, where she invites you to step into the shoes of the retailer and understand how they think, what they need, what their “allergies” are, and how they make decisions.

In this session, we will specifically focus on understanding the retailer’s perspective, how your product fits into their strategy, and how to navigate the often-complex dynamics between supplier and retailer. Annemieke will share practical tools and real-life examples to help you improve your communication; from emails to meetings and build stronger, more effective relationships with retail partners.

Annemieke will actively involve the group by asking for your opinion, doing live polls, or inviting you to share your own case. Expect a dynamic mix of insights, discussion, and peer learning.
