Meet the Buyer x AH to go

Our Meet the Buyer sessions are designed to connect passionate food entrepreneurs with possible customers, buyers, and/or category managers. Monthly, we invite buyers from all different categories of the food scene, like; supermarkets, online retailers, hotel chains, wholesalers, restaurant owners, etc. These sessions offer exclusive sales opportunities, feedback, and/or professional connections, you won’t get anywhere else. In this session, we welcome AH to go!
About AH to go
Albert Heijn is the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands. The concept AH to go was started in 1999, Albert Heijn now has 188 AH to go’s in the Netherlands, most of them located at a NS train station or a BP petrol station. AH to go is the solution for those who are always on the go: fresh and good food and drinks for your trip.
Good to know that AH to go also serves as a springboard for Albert Heijn: if a product performs well there, the chances of getting listed in Albert Heijn stores increases.
Wishes / requirements:
– Only to go products (Ready to eat & for 1 person)
– Healthy snacks (high in fiber and protein is a plus)
– Products that focus on gut health and fermentation like kimchi, sourdough etc.
– Inclusive & accessible products (gluten-free, lactose-free, plant-based, halal, affordable etc.)
– International inspiration for products and ingredients (Asian / Brazilian / Turkish / Indian etc.)
– Products for foodservice would be Private Label.
– AH to go is interested in proven, successful products that are reimagined with a twist. E.g. KitKat Matcha / crompouce. Ideally with a link to TikTok trends, both responding to and creating them.
– Keep in mind that supplying AH to go means being ready for large volumes and a strict approval process and meeting food safety standards (ISO 22000).
