Our Meet the Buyer sessions are designed to connect passionate food entrepreneurs with possible customers, buyers, and/or category managers. Monthly, we invite buyers from all different categories of the food scene, like; supermarkets, online retailers, hotel chains, wholesalers, restaurant owners, etc. These sessions offer exclusive sales opportunities, feedback, and/or professional connections that you won’t get anywhere else. In this session, we welcome SOUS at KR!
About SOUS
SOUS is on a mission to empower Culinary Creators, providing the tech, platform & community for restaurants, chefs & speciality brands to grow their business in new ways. They started initially with chef experiences – restaurant meals that you get delivered to your house. Now they are expanding their service to a culinary market place with products from specialty brands.
Some info about their audience:
– Food lovers with a bit higher budget to spend on food. A wide range of ages, both young families and older couples living just outside of bigger cities. Plus busy professionals who have little time, but love enjoying new experiences.
– They love delicious and unique food (products), culinary experiences and special stories of the people who create them.
– They live mostly in or around big cities, or live in small towns and don’t have access to specialty products in their area.
Requirements SOUS
– Products should be unique, high quality, artisanal, local and should come with a good story.
– Products should not be available in everyday shops, but offer something new and innovative.
– Preference: You can offer a tasting set/combination of multiple products for a tasting experience.
– For shelf-stable products: You use your own shipping provider like PostNL or DHL or are already shipping D2C.
– For products that require chilled delivery, SOUS’ logistics partner can be used.

KR’s requirements:
– Be a member of the KR Community
– Arrive on time, assets prepared (tasting materials/presentation documents prepped) and ready to pitch
– As space is limited and time precious, please understand that KR and the guest buyer will select the most relevant food companies to see during each session as it relates to the buyer’s/company’s focus.
– You can also leave your product(s) behind for the buyer, KR will collect your feedback.
How does it work?
– We offer time slots of 10 minutes per company. This might sound short, but it’s definitely long enough to make a lasting impression.
– Applications for this MTB session will close on September 5. If selected, we will contact you the week prior with time slot details.
