SUMMARY:Roundtable: Sustainable packaging
DESCRIPTION:Our Roundtable concept is about meeting up with a small group of members who are willing to share their experience and knowledge about a certain topic. We create themes around popular challenges and shared difficulties. When all participants balance giving and taking of information\, we believe that a Roundtable can be a very valuable experience for every participant.  \nIn this Roundtable session\, we will focus on sustainable packaging. The session is open to all our members who are looking into new packaging solutions for their products and would like to get an overview of the rules and regulations on the Dutch market they need to comply with. \nThe following experts will join this Roundtable:– Caitlin Ouwehand – Advisor for Sustainable Packaging at KIDV. She studied Food Packaging and Food Innovation at the HAS Green Academy in ’s-Hertogenbosch. – Niels van Marle – Senior Advisor for Sustainable Packaging at KIDV. Prior to joining KIDV\, Niels worked as a Packaging Innovation Manager for companies such as Philips\, Mars\, Hero\, and Jacobs Douwe Egberts. \nWhat can you expect in this Roundtable session? Caitlin and Niels will guide you through the world of sustainable packaging. They will explore what the journey towards a circular economy entails\, the legislation companies must adhere to\, the strategies underpinning these regulations\, and the key considerations for businesses bringing packaged products to market. Of course\, it will be an interactive session where you’ll be able to ask all your specific questions related to your product and its packaging.  \nAbout KIDVAt KIDV\, the Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging\, Caitlin and Niels develop tools and provide support to producers and importers of packaged products to help them comply with legislation and make their packaging portfolios more sustainable. Notable tools include the Recyclecheck and the Sustainable Packaging Compass\, that can be found on kidv.nl. KIDV is part of Verpact\, the organisation responsible for implementing the Dutch Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program for sustainable packaging. KIDV’s mission is to establish a circular economy for packaging by developing and sharing fact-based knowledge with all partners in the packaging chain. This is crucial because ‘closing the loop’ requires collaboration among all parties\, leading to new business opportunities\, reduced dependence on raw materials\, and environmental benefits. \nAgenda17.30-18.15 – Walk-in & easy dinner 18.15-19.45 – Roundtable Discussion19.45-21.00 – Drinks & networking \nRegistration for this event ends on September 5. You can submit your questions/topics of interest upfront when signing up. We’re looking forward to an interesting discussion!

We hope to see you there! Agenda:17.30 – 17.45 Walk-in & Welcome17.45 – 20.00 Pitch time20.00 – 21.00 Wrap-up & Pizza PartyPlease RSVP before September 5. SUMMARY:Roundtable: AI for startups (ONLINE)
DESCRIPTION:Our Roundtable concept is about meeting up with a small group of members who are willing to share their experience and knowledge about a certain topic. We create themes around popular challenges and shared difficulties. When all participants balance giving and taking of information\, we believe that a Roundtable discussion can be a very valuable experience for every participant. \nIn this Roundtable session\, we will focus on AI. We have invited an expert to share his knowledge on this topic: Max Roeters\, managing partner of Brush AI\, will introduce the magical world of Artificial Intelligence and how to apply it responsibly. He will answer questions such as: \n– What is AI and how can it work for you and your business?– How can I identify where to use AI to make my business more efficient?– What are the most common risks of AI within businesses and how do I mitigate those effectively? \nAbout the expertMax Roeters started his own company Brush AI in 2021 together with his cofounder Noëlle Cicilia. Unlike most tech-startups\, Brush AI did not originate from a technology but a mutual mission: “To create a more fair and safe data-driven future for everyone”. Max has a background in applied physics and data science\, and is within Brush AI responsible for the commercial activities. \nAbout Brush AIBrush AI\, founded in 2021\, has the mission to create a fair and safe data-driven future for everyone. They do that by helping organizations create feasible and trustworthy (Gen.) AI-solutions through consulting and development. Brush AI was acquired by The Cronos Groep in 2022. \nRegistration for this session closes on May 26. You can submit your questions/topics of interest upfront when signing up. We’re looking forward to an interesting discussion!
