Meet the Buyer x Compass Group


Our Meet the Buyer sessions are designed to connect passionate food entrepreneurs with potential customers, buyers, and/or category managers. Every month, we invite buyers from different categories of the food scene, such as supermarkets, online retailers, hotel chains, wholesalers, restaurant owners, etc. These sessions offer exclusive sales opportunities, feedback, and/or professional connections that you won’t get anywhere else. In this session, we welcome Compass Group at KR!
About Compass Group
Compass Group Netherlands provides food and support services for businesses, education, healthcare, government, and events. They focus strongly on sustainability and operate from the strength of an international organization with a local focus. They operate at 550 locations; from stadiums to corporate restaurants. Compass Group recently acquired Vermaat, which also joins our MTB sessions yearly.
Requirements Compass Group
– They like to be inspired and are interested in products and items that can be used for catering services, banqueting events, and corporate restaurants.
– Preference is given to items with broad applicability, appealing to chefs, but also usable by general staff.
– Practical examples and products already successfully used in (corporate) restaurants are seen as added value.
– Taste and quality come first, followed closely by sustainability and commercial appeal.
– Delivery is via Bidfood. Products already listed with Bidfood, including the article number, are of particular interest.

KR’s requirements:
– Be a member of the KR Community
– Arrive on time, assets prepared (tasting materials/presentation documents prepped) and ready to pitch
– As space is limited and time precious, please understand that KR and the guest buyer will select the most relevant food companies to see during each session as it relates to the buyer/companies focus.
– You can also leave your product(s) behind for the buyer, Kitchen Republic will collect your feedback
– If you’re unable to attend, please let us know at least 12 hours in advance. If you do not cancel in time, you will not be included in the next selection round for an upcoming session.
How does it work?
– We offer time slots of 10 minutes per company. This might sound short, but it’s definitely long enough to make a lasting impression.
– Applications for this MTB session will close on February 9. If selected, we will contact you the week prior with time slot details.
