Meet the Buyer x HMSHost

Our Meet the Buyer sessions are designed to connect passionate food entrepreneurs with possible customers, buyers, and/or category managers. Monthly, we invite buyers from all different categories of the food scene, like; supermarkets, online retailers, hotel chains, wholesalers, restaurant owners, etc. These sessions offer exclusive sales opportunities, feedback, and/or professional connections that you won’t get anywhere else. In this session, we welcome HMSHost at KR!

About HMSHost
HMSHost operates various catering locations in the Netherlands, with more than 3,500 employees. At Schiphol they are responsible for more than 70 catering locations – from full service locations (Grand Cafe Plaza, Salon), to counter locations (Heineken bar, Silverscreen) and kiosks (Grab & Fly). Next to that you will find their locations at Rotterdam The Hague Airport, at train stations throughout the country and in shopping malls. HMSHost operates well-known brands such as Burger King, La Place, Starbucks, LEON and BackWERK, as well as self-developed catering concepts such as The Burger Federation.

Wishes / requirements:
The HMSHost team is looking for new and innovative products from all categories, please just note that they can’t add any new beer brands to their assortment.
– In 2030 they would like their concepts to be maximum plant based, how would that look like?
– Savoury snacks, plant based opportunities 
– New bread concepts are always welcome.
– Ideally you are working with Bidfood or Sligro (for drinks).

KR’s requirements:
– Be a member of the KR Community
– Arrive on time, assets prepared (tasting materials/presentation documents prepped) and ready to pitch
– As space is limited and time precious, please understand that KR and the guest buyer will select the most relevant food companies to see during each session as it relates to the buyer’s/company’s focus.
– You can also leave your product(s) behind for the buyer, KR will collect your feedback.
If you’re unable to attend, please let us know at least 12 hours in advance. The no-show fee for this event is €50. 

How does it work?
– We offer time slots of 10 minutes per company. This might sound short, but it’s definitely long enough to make a lasting impression.
– Applications for this MTB session will close on November 16. If selected, we will contact you the week prior with time slot details.
