Job Description
The Kitchen Republic community consists of more than 150 companies and we organize multiple activities and meetings for all our community members every month. To make all these activities a success, we are looking for an event and community intern, who can support us in managing all events. Think of organizing a big dinner in collaboration with different chefs, you will regularly supervise a pitch afternoon for our members and you will finish your internship by organizing a big food market for the community.
In addition, you will help grow the Kitchen Republic Community by liaising with current members and networking with new potential members.
What will you do?
- You will be present at events to support and coordinate. This includes reception, supervision, service and aftercare. During events you are the point of contact for the guests and you support your colleague in his or her activities.
- Performing administrative tasks such as preparing quotations, placing orders and keeping track of turnover data.
- Creating schedules
- You maintain contact with our current community members.
- You look for/maintain contact with new (potential) members.
What do you bring with you?
- You have an (HBO) degree in Hotel or Event Management.
- You speak (and write) fluent Dutch and English.
- You have experience working in hospitality / events and you are hospitable.
- You have good communication skills, a pro-active attitude and an eye for detail.
- You are flexible in terms of working hours and do not mind working evenings sometimes.
- You are interested in the food industry and all its current trends and developments - and would like to learn more about it.
What we offer
- An internship of at least 32 hours per week.
- You will receive a monthly stipend.
