They sometimes say "time flies when you're having fun. And that is heartily true. 2019 is already almost over and we look back on our achievements of this year with great pride and pleasure and are looking forward to the prospects of 2020....
You can probably guess what our highlight of 2019 was: the opening of scale-up kitchens! Our successful crowdfunding allowed us to turn our dream into reality. And that's a stone's throw from our start-up kitchen!
In April this year, construction could finally begin. And the result is impressive: in just over six months this warehouse has been transformed into a Valhalla for food entrepreneurs eager to grow! Caterers and producers can use this scale-up kitchen for their production and menu development, and then introduce their innovative products to Dutch consumers.
In the final months of 2019, a number of members have traded a spot in the start-up kitchen for the scale-up kitchen. It's up to us to bring them more in touch with the possibilities and opportunities the Dutch foods industry has to offer.
With the expansion, we have gained over 1,500 square meters in space. At this location, you'll find a share kitchen with room for ten scale-up companies, four enclosed cooking units and an event space with a beautiful bar.
In our event space you will find (literally) all the ingredients for a perfect external meeting, tasting or brainstorming. Thanks to our members for the amazing and creative catering: since the opening, our kitchen heroes have already delighted more than 500 guests with their food creations! From great events to new talents in the kitchen, we are more than curious to see what awaits us in 2020.
