When food start-ups grow like cabbage...

We become so insanely proud when we see members develop from a start-up and then manage to grow into a full-fledged food company with a strong brand.

When a food business grows big, it's time to leave the Kitchen Republic nest, proving that our concept works as a springboard for growth! The success stories that fly out to their "own place" we would like to share with you in this blog:

You may have already seen it passing by on social media; Floor from BorrelPlank recently opened her restaurant Compartir on Spaarndammerstraat. 

A restaurant with a vacation vibe where you can enjoy delicious appetizers. Floor joined us in 2018 with Amsterdam Borrelplank, and let's face it, who doesn't love a drink? 

Another successful expansion is that of Sophie Eats. She will soon open her own business on Maasstraat. Sophie Eats is a well-known name in and around the city and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Sophie in our kitchen for a while. Keep an eye on this Dutch Donna Hay!

Another high-growth member we want to talk about is Flo's Appetizing from founder Heather Eddy. 

Her bagels have taken the Netherlands by storm and we are sure her bagel bakery in Amsterdam's Jan Pieter Heijestaat will be a success.

Then it is now time to also put ourselves in the spotlight for a moment and talk about our own growth. 

Besides the fact that we will open the doors of our second "Scale up" location in a month, to which some of our members will be moving with us, we have also grown internally from three to seven team members. 

Emilie is joining us as event manager and Emiel is now officially the operations manager. We would also like to welcome our new interns Sanne and Quin, they will be working on events and marketing.

So these are exciting but wonderful times for the Kitchen Republic family.
